About Me

Hi! I’m Leilah Shabazaz, a CPA and a bookkeeping pro.

My professional journey started with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Missouri – St. Louis (UMSL). For a decade, I thrived working as a CPA in St. Louis, MO, gaining insights into diverse businesses.

I then embraced full-time entrepreneurship, running successful e-commerce and real estate businesses. Now, I’m excited to be back in the accounting world. I’m driven to assist fellow entrepreneurs with tailored bookkeeping solutions at Gateway Bookkeeping.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, hiking, exercise, and knitting (while bingeing TV – know any good shows?). I’m pretty good at staying organized, and I even make spreadsheets for fun.

My home life is busy! Together with my husband, I navigate the worlds of business ownership and parenting.  Our two boys are now young adults, making their way in the world. I homeschool our elementary-aged daughter. And a sweet new baby girl completes the picture.
